Illinois Lottery Returns as the Grandstand Stage Sponsor At this year's Illinois State Fair
SPRINGFIELD, Ill., Aug. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Illinois Lottery returns this year as Grandstand Stage Sponsor for the Illinois State Fair, August 7 – 17 in Springfield. The Lottery has been a partner with the State Fair for the past 40 years, and held its inaugural drawing on the Springfield fairgrounds August 8, 1974. Since that time, the Lottery has contributed over $18 billion to the Common School Fund and to the Capital Projects Fund.
Fairgoers 18 years and older can stop by and the Lottery's booth (corner of Illinois Ave and Corn Dog Lane) for a chance to win free concert tickets to the various acts performing at the State Fair Grandstand stage. This year's Illinois Lottery Grandstand Stage will feature American Idols Live (August 8), Pitbull (August 9), Florida Georgia Line (August 10), Boston, Sweet & April Wine (August 12), Hunter Hayes (August 13), An Evening with Steely Dan (August 15), Jake Owen (August 16) and Robin Thicke (August 17).
In addition to winning tickets to these amazing concerts, fairgoers can also enter the Illinois Lottery's Anything's Possible Music Series promotion for a chance to win a Grand Prize flyaway trip for two to any Live Nation concert in the United States, along with $5,000 spending money. Qualified entrants can also win prizes like headphones, portable speakers and music-themed gift cards.
