Home Furnishing Giant Shows How to Achieve High Design Without a High Cost
BURLINGTON, ON, Jan. 25, 2013 /CNW/ - In a bold move, IKEA Canada has created an extraordinary 980 square foot Scandinavian Industrial enclosed space for this year's Interior Design Show in Toronto. The design features IKEA products mixed with antique elements encased in warehouse windows, an exposed brick wall and a grand fireplace that create a rich and eclectic design.
"This year, we have created a design that allows the visitor to step into a space that transports them from a trade show into a trendy converted warehouse space." Says Madeleine Löwenborg-Frick, Public Relations Manager, IKEA Canada. "Our design delivers inspiration on how to integrate IKEA's well priced, functionally designed products with other elements to create impactful spaces that are personalized."
IKEA is set to wow the design community and industry insiders with a show-stopping kitchen and bathroom. Inspired by the signature blond wood of Scandinavian style, the booth features the company's newest offer of SOFIELUND light grey walnut kitchen doors and the GODMORGON white-stained oak bathroom cabinets. Both rooms are presented on an exaggerated scale that is set to showcase the flexibility of the range and create desire in show goers.
