iJET Celebrates Continued Success, Double-Digit Growth
Expansion of Executive Team, New Service Offerings and Business Resiliency Thought Leadership Contribute to Double-Digit Growth in 2009
ANNAPOLIS, Md., Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a leading provider of global intelligence and business resiliency services, announced continued growth and momentum in 2009. iJET expanded partnerships, launched new service offerings and product enhancements and deepened its thought leadership position in business resiliency. In addition, at a time when the worldwide economic downturn negatively impacted many organizations and governments, the essential nature of iJET's solutions and the addition of a record number of new clients produced solid growth for the second straight recession year, evidenced by a 27 percent two-year cumulative annual growth rate in revenue.
"Against a backdrop of terrorism, the H1N1(2009) virus and a down economy, multinational organizations continued to turn to iJET for help in strengthening business resiliency across their extended enterprises," said Steve Hoffman, iJET's CEO. "We continuously listen to our clients to better understand the risk management challenges and climate they face, and our growth is testament to our success in building a resiliency solution set based on this input. We thank our clients for another successful year and look forward to continuing to grow together into the next decade."
Areas of Growth
Expansion of Professional Services
In 2009, iJET expanded its suite of Professional Services offerings, designed to help organizations to better assess threats and business opportunities, monitor threat trends and development as well as respond quickly and appropriately to employees in need, with the introduction of its MX PROTECT and Enterprise Resiliency Assessment services.
- MX PROTECT
In response to the rise in drug-related violence and H1N1 (2009) virus outbreaks in Mexico, iJET launched MX PROTECT to help businesses operate safely and successfully in this emerging market by assessing and monitoring threats to operations, supply chains and personnel. MX PROTECT helps organizations avoid disruptions and build a competitive advantage through detailed threat assessments for a specific site, city or the country itself, and an ongoing alert service that enables organizations to monitor the shifting threat landscape throughout the year.
- Enterprise Resiliency Assessments
In September, iJET introduced its Enterprise Resiliency Assessment service, which provides organizations with an in-depth analysis of their risk management programs, as well as helps each department focus its resiliency efforts where they will have the most impact and provide the greatest competitive advantage.
Leadership
In 2009, iJET strengthened its leadership team with the addition of two established executives, promoting James Hires to Vice President of Product Development and naming Mark Donohue to Vice President of Professional Services.
Partnerships
Continuing its strong history of developing key relationships with industry partners, iJET collaborated with Europ Assistance USA, Mercer and ACE USA to provide comprehensive travel resiliency services to the University of California's students, faculty and staff traveling abroad to study, teach and represent the UC System.
iJET also strengthened its alliance with the Center for Personal Protection and Safety (CPPS), an educational institution that provides research and training on international travel safety, workplace violence, crisis negotiation, abduction prevention and hostage survival. iJET's Hostage Survival Training seminars for industry professionals, held twice during 2009, featured sessions conducted by senior personnel from CPPS.
Thought Leadership
iJET continued to provide insights, intelligence and analysis on various issues of interest to business resiliency and risk management professionals through the publication of multiple reports and briefings.
Operational Risks Forecast
In early 2009, iJET warned businesses of a coming increase in operational, facility and supply chain disruptions, such as civil unrest, crime and deterioration of health services, which are more likely to occur in economic recessions. The company also provided organizations with recommendations to prepare for and mitigate such risks, as well as uncover potential opportunities despite the downturn economy.
Annual Business Resiliency Survey
Representing an insider's look at the current state of business resiliency planning and strategy in multinational organizations around the globe, iJET conducted and issued its second annual business resiliency survey in June 2009. Among the key findings of the survey, the enhanced climate of economic and geopolitical risks in 2009 fueled an increased focus and investment in business resiliency practices.
Survive/Thrive Webinar Series
iJET launched a year-long webinar series, combining industry expertise with predictive intelligence and real-world experiences from multinational organizations, to create interactive forums that provided insight on the latest business resiliency trends and practices. More than 400 participants engaged around such topics as best practices for resiliency planning, emerging risks in growth markets around the globe and the spread of the H1N1 (2009) virus and pandemic planning.
H1N1 (2009) Virus
Following the global outbreak of the H1N1 (2009) virus, iJET provided services and resources designed to arm organizations with effective pandemic planning specific to the new virus. iJET launched an online public resource page with up-to-date information, helpful documents and links related to the virus.
iJET also joined industry experts in an educational session addressing the challenges related to the H1N1 outbreaks and best practices for pandemic planning at the annual National Business Travel Association (NBTA) International Convention & Exposition in August as well as hosted a webinar addressing the complexities of the H1N1 outbreaks and the potential impact on business operations in October.
Avian Influenza and Pandemic Planning Report
In addition to monitoring the H1N1 outbreak, iJET also released its annual avian influenza pandemic planning report in March. The comprehensive report provided analysis of worldwide incidences of the avian flu virus (H5N1) and summarized global pandemic response and preparedness strategies.
Product Enhancements
iJET made several enhancements to its patented Worldcue® Global Control Center in 2009, enabling in-depth reporting and employee locator capabilities. iJET also introduced Worldcue Mobile, which allows users to access real-time intelligence and risk management information through their mobile devices.
Worldcue Mobile
In July, iJET introduced mobile access to the company's Worldcue travel risk management solution. Worldcue Mobile enables licensed users to view intelligence about worldwide events as they develop; identify travelers at risk; access employee itineraries and assignment information; and immediately contact potentially affected employees and more, from a mobile device.
Worldcue Online Reports
Shaped by client input, Online Reports give organizations 24x7 access to detailed information on iJET's published intelligence alerts, cities and countries visited by the organization's employees, employees traveling today, and cross references of employee travel and expatriate assignments over time and by destination. Clients can schedule automatic reports to run daily, weekly or monthly, which can then be delivered directly to a user's email inbox.
Worldcue Employee Locator
iJET strengthened its Employee Locator and Employee Locator Reports, which offer businesses an enhanced ability to search for traveling employees, expatriates and family members across company divisions and multiple locations. Through Employee Locator, companies can immediately identify and send SMS, phone or email messages to employees at risk. Since some risks, such as exposure to infectious diseases, are not always immediately apparent, Employee Locator includes the ability to find and communicate with employees who have returned from travel or assignment within the past 30 days. Employee Locator Reports enable organizations to access information on planned and current travel as well as trips and assignments completed in the past 18 months.
