LONDON, July 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology PLC (NYSE:IGT) ("IGT") announced that as part of the continued evolution of the corporate functions integration, a centralized Administrative Services organization is being created to achieve greater efficiencies through the consolidation, coordination, and management of global activities related to the administrative support of the Company.
With an expansive operational footprint that spans over 100 countries, IGT has grown to have more than five million square feet of space under management and procures well over $1 billion worth of goods and services annually. A new central Administrative Services organization has been created to ensure the proper delivery of goods and services to help drive the operation of the business units and to capture the naturally-resulting improved synergies from centralization.
A major focus of the new group will be to enhance the coordination and oversight of corporate security and cyber-security functions that will be centralized under a new Global Information Security Office in the Administration Services organization. In addition to Information Security, the functions reporting into the new Administrative Services organization will include Global Procurement, Real Estate and Facilities, Food Services, Environmental Health and Safety, and Facility Security and Monitoring.
The new organization will be led by Robert K. Vincent who will take on a new role as Executive Vice President for Administrative Services and External Relations reporting to IGT PLC CEO Marco Sala. He will continue to lead the external affairs functions that include Global Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Branding, and Social Responsibility programs, as well as provide Investor Relations support.
"As was anticipated, IGT has reached a point of requiring an increased level of global coordination and oversight of the acquisition and management of critical assets including cyber security," said Mr. Sala. "As I have previously done, I am turning to a senior executive with whom I have great confidence to lead these functions. Bob Vincent has the right balance of experience and good judgment to successfully meet the challenges associated with managing, supplying, and protecting our growing global enterprise.
"As a member of the senior leadership team, Bob has played an important role in helping to define the new IGT organization and attract an unparalleled group of individuals to lead the Company. I greatly value his contribution and appreciate his willingness to take on the new and important challenges of this new role."
During his over 20-year tenure at IGT and its legacy companies, Bob has served in roles of increasing responsibility in administrative, public affairs, and business development. A University of Rhode Island graduate, he resides with his family in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
