IGT Leads the Way in the VLT Market in Ohio

LAS VEGAS, July 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE:IGT), the global leader in driving technology innovations in the gaming industry, today announced the Company is a leading provider in the Ohio video lottery terminal (VLT) market, after the placement of 756 VLTs at the Scioto Downs Racino in Columbus, Ohio.

Scioto Downs is the only racetrack in the state to be granted a license for the operation of VLTs. The recent refurbishment of the racino provided IGT with a strong foothold in the Midwestern VLT market, as the popular racing and gaming establishment recently added over two-thousand VLTs to its casino floor, with a third of the sale contracted to IGT. A roster of slot machine entertainment, which includes IGT's expansive 300-plus game theme library, will certainly help Scioto Downs to become a favorite hotspot for locals.

The Ohio Lottery Commission expects that the revenue from the operation of the VLTs will generate up to three million dollars per month for the state.
