Operators continue to seek the unmatched performance and unrivaled entertainment value only IGT systems provide
LAS VEGAS, May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), a global leader in creating the games players love and casino network systems that improve the player experience, announced today that Akwesasne Mohawk Casino in Hogansburg, N.Y. has installed the sbX™ Tier One package. In addition, Kahneeta Resort and Casino in central Oregon has installed IGT Advantage®. Both achievements are evidence of IGT's continued drive toward ultimate success in the network systems arena.
"The sbX™ Tier One package is going to give us an important competitive edge," said Patrick Bassney, general manager of Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. "Our IGT partnership is strong, and because of IGT's forward-thinking systems and technologies, we're able to offer our customers the most progressive and worthwhile gaming experiences. sbX™ is going to change everything for our property."
sbX™ is a casino systems tool kit that lets casino operators design and deliver customized player experiences. The AVP® platform, along with IGT's new line of machine models, converge with sbX™ to give casinos access to the industry's largest library of available game themes. sbX™ Tier One is a lease-based package that combines sbX™ Floor Manager (a game optimization and library access tool) and IGT's AVP® machines, plus access to nearly 300 game themes with new themes added each month. The Tier One package is designed to provide a partial-floor, game management solution with the potential of an eventual floor-wide conversion. Akwesasne will start with sbX™ on 40 gaming machines.
sbX™ is currently installed at ARIA at City Center and Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. sbX™ Tier One is currently installed at Ameristar St. Charles Casino Resort, Barona Resort and Casino, FireKeepers Casino, MGM Grand Detroit, Motor City Casino Hotel, IP Biloxi Casino Resort and Colusa Casino. And on an international scale, sbX™ is installed at Casino d'Evian in France and will install this spring at Grand Casino Helsinki in Finland, and Casino di Venezia and Casino de la Valee, both in Italy.
"sbX™ provides unmatched flexibility for game mix decisions," said Eric Tom, IGT executive vice president of sales and marketing. "As casinos continue to realize the benefits of sbX™, IGT shows the world that this is indeed the preeminent solution, and that it provides operators true flexibility with the touch of a button. With sbX™, for the first time, operators can manage their casino floors with near real-time changes to cater to their ever-evolving player mix."
sbX™ is built on GSA open protocols, providing the gaming industry with a total GSA-compliant solution. GSA-compliancy means IGT adheres to a set of protocols, or a set of standards agreed upon by the industry. These protocols ensure that a variety of systems from a variety of manufacturers work seamlessly from the moment a casino operator launches them.
Kahneeta Resort and Casino is a forward-thinking, 325-game destination resort. The installation at the central Oregon property shows the flexibility and scalability of the IGT Advantage® product. IGT Advantage® is a suite of systems products that provide casinos advanced Bonusing, ticketing and cashless solutions as well as the other powerful casino management tools. The solution is built on modern architecture, and is suitable for a range of casino sizes – everything from a single site, to multi-site, to large-scale enterprises around the world. The Kahneeta/IGT partnership also demonstrates IGT's agility and ability to adapt to and serve all customers.
