IGT and Warner Bros. Consumer Products Team Up to Debut The Hangover™ Slots at G2E 2010 with Ken Jeong Celebrity Appearance
LAS VEGAS, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- International Game Technology (NYSE: IGT), a global leader in creating the major games that players love and the network systems that improve the player experience, has aligned with Warner Bros. Consumer Products (WBCP) to introduce The Hangover™ Slots at the 2010 Global Gaming Expo (G2E), Nov. 16–18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Ken Jeong, who played the hilarious villain Mr. Chow in the 2009 smash hit The Hangover, will be at G2E on Tuesday, Nov. 16, to open the show and make a special appearance in IGT's booth.
Created through a license agreement with WBCP, and inspired by the record-breaking hit comedy from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, The Hangover™ Slots feature four character-themed progressive bonuses, four unique bonuses themed toward events from the movie, and a base game wild feature. Adding to the gaming experience, Mr. Chow pops in with his memorable sayings throughout the game play. Voiced by Jeong, Mr. Chow brings the game to life with his comical appearances during the game.
"I truly enjoyed being a part of this unique project—to bring The Hangover to life in a slot game—and fans of the movie are going to be thrilled," said Jeong. "Working on the voiceover and being part of this experience with IGT has been fantastic. I am looking forward to coming to G2E and seeing the game in action."
"There is no other game in the market like The Hangover™ Slots, with its wild antics and huge entertainment value," said Eric Tom, IGT chief operating officer. "The game has all the characters, sayings and memorable moments from the movie, and it introduces a new level of comedy to the gaming market. It's the complete package, and we are excited Ken Jeong provided his comedic touch to the game."
"The Hangover has become synonymous with Las Vegas and gaming—making this partnership with IGT a perfect fit," said Karen McTier, executive vice president of Domestic Licensing and Worldwide Marketing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
In the MultiPLAY The Hangover™ Slots game, the characters Alan, Phil, Stu and Doug make up the four themed progressive pick bonuses. The first of the four unique bonuses include the Stun Gun bonus in which players press the button to zap Alan and build credit values. In the Wedding Chapel bonus, players pick from several boxes to reveal wedded bliss, mugs, and hats for credit values. During Mr. Chow's Freaky Free Games, players are awarded free spins with locking wild poker chips and can advance to the Deal in the Desert bonus with a chance to reveal the correct Doug for additional winnings. Additionally, in the Villa Bonus, players pick from several icons found in the hotel room to reveal credits. Base game wilds are awarded when a police cruiser, an SUV, a tiger paw swipe, a mattress, or Mr. Chow enters the screen and randomly converts game symbols to wilds.
