IGEN engages investor relations firm and announces private placement
(IGEN: OTCBB)
LAS VEGAS, NV, May 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Mr. Richard Gilbertson reports:
"Developed nations, especially urban areas, once enjoyed a significant communications and related business advantage. How could you run an international business from a remote location, without connectivity to the rest of the world? With reasonably priced connectivity, one can argue that rural areas and developing nations may soon have an economic advantage, as a place to do business. Two main reasons for this are minimal stranded costs and lower cost to operate in rural areas. Broadband empowers people, whether students or retired, employed, or those seeking work; it empowers businesses - increases trading areas, broadens supply chains, identifies new opportunities; it is an increasingly important tool in government service delivery, in education, in health care and in public safety. Indeed, as smaller communities struggle to find their identity in an increasingly urbanized societies, economic diversification, driven by internet technologies is considered a key survival mechanism. Broadband, affordable high speed broadband is a basic requirement for all. IGEN Networks Corp. sees the demand across all market niches for individuals, civic organizations, local small business, schools, medical institutions and commercial businesses."
IGEN Networks Corp. announces it will undertake a non-brokered Private Placement for $2,000,000 with the issuance of 2,500,000 shares at $.80 per share, as approved by the Board of Directors. The private placement will be used to advance IGEN's corporate mandate in establishing the build-out of broadband wireless internet, phone and data systems in Canada and Honduras.
