IFMA's 2015 Silver Plate Winners Announced At COEX
Foodservice industry's prestigious Silver Plate winners announced at IFMA's Chain Operators Exchange Conference today.
LAS VEGAS, March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA), a trade association established in 1952 comprised of the world's most prestigious food, equipment and supply manufacturers, announced the winners of its 2015 Silver Plate Awards today. The winners were unveiled this morning by 2014 Gold Plate Honoree Jim Broadhurst, Chairman, Eat'n Park Hospitality Group during IFMA's annual Chain Operator Exchange (COEX) taking place in Las Vegas.
Silver Plate winners are nominated by IFMA members and industry leaders, and then selected by a distinguished jury, including national trade press editors, foodservice experts and past award winners. From the Silver Plate winners, one is chosen by the jury to receive the foodservice industry's most prestigious recognition, IFMA's 2015 Gold Plate Award, which will be presented at the 61st Annual Gold & Silver Plate Celebration—taking place in Chicago on Monday, May 18.

- Independent Restaurants/Multi-Concept: Michael C. Gibbons, president and CEO, Main Street Ventures (nominated by Ecolab)
- Chain Full Service/Multi-Concept: John Miller, CEO, Denny's Restaurants (nominated by Basic American Foods and The Coca-Cola Company)
- Chain Limited Service: Kat Cole, group president, FOCUS Brands (nominated by Basic American Foods)
- Healthcare: Julie Jones, director, Nutrition Services, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (nominated by Basic American Foods, Hobart and Schwan's)
- Elementary & Secondary Schools: Mary Hill, executive director of Food Services, Jackson Public Schools (nominated by Schwan's)
- Colleges & Universities: Nona Golledge, director, Kansas University Dining (nominated by Sysco, Schwan's, Idahoan and Hobart)
- Business & Industry/Foodservice Management: Edward Sirhal, president, Restaurant Associates (nominated by M.Tucker Co., a division of Singer NY)
