IEHP Receives an "A" Grade on Physician Satisfaction
SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., March 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) announced today that its doctors are highly satisfied with the services they receive from the plan, according to a major independent provider satisfaction survey.
The survey was conducted by The Myers Group, a National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Certified survey vendor from January to February 2012. Used as an essential tool by many health plans, the survey measures how well a health plan meets their doctors' expectations in key areas.
Surveyed doctors answered questions that put IEHP in the 90th percentile compared to other Medicaid plans based on their satisfaction in several categories including, call center staff, support from the provider relations team, care coordination, accuracy of claims processing and timeliness of claims payments.
The most noteworthy scores in the survey included: over 99 percent of IEHP doctors would recommend IEHP to other doctors and over 98 percent of IEHP doctors would recommend IEHP to their patients.
"We thank our doctors for rating our services high and we thank our employees who work with our doctors for helping us earn this achievement," said Dr. Bradley Gilbert, IEHP chief executive officer. "Partnering with our doctors is one of our core values and I am pleased to see that doctors are highly satisfied with IEHP."
Recognizing the importance of support, IEHP has worked to give doctors the tools, service and resources they need.
"Our teams in the provider call center, claims, quality management, and provider relations work diligently to support our doctors," said Kurt Hubler, IEHP chief network officer. "This high-level of service is critical as we continue to expand our network to accommodate our increasing membership."
With the growth of both the provider network and membership, IEHP has placed a strong focus on providing its doctors care management support to help them care for the member.
"Care management is key as we welcome more doctors into the provider network," said Dr. William Henning, IEHP chief medical officer."The satisfaction from our doctors is a testament to the collaboration between our doctors and our care management teams that work together to improve the health and well-being of IEHP members."
