IDENTV Releases Video Intelligence Tools Designed for National Security Analysts
The company announced rollout of its platform to support missions in additional operating theaters.
SAN FRANCISCO, April 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- To address the challenge presented by the high volumes of high-definition video intelligence data produced by drones and other surveillance sensors, IDENTV expanded integration of its Intelligent Video-fingerprinting Platform with advanced C4ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) capabilities in live operational environments.
The core problem in analyzing visual data is a combination of the extremely large amounts that are produced daily and the time it takes to analyze these high-quality files, by either humans or computers. Awareness of a potential threat or problem could simply take too long to detect. If video data is not processed or analyzed at least partially at the same rate it is produced, it accumulates in a queue and rapidly loses its tactical value.
"Because the IDENTV platform can automatically process over 50 trillion image comparisons per hour, there is a drastic increase in the amount of media that a single analyst can handle and their ability to extract and exploit actionable intelligence across vast repositories of video," explains Founder and CEO Mohammad Shihadah. "Artificial Intelligence is not only about the future; it is about the now. Today we can displace inefficient, expensive legacy systems and free analysts from repetitive monitoring tasks that lead to boredom and undermine morale."
IDENTV has integrated these advanced computer vision detection, recognition and analytics capabilities with Novetta Solutions C4ISR Ageon platform. Video from multiple sensors is delivered to an operating platform allowing real time geocoded object behavior in live operating environments and immediate exploitation. This type of capability also has applications across a wide range of activities including wildlife preservation, critical infrastructure analysis, and even medical diagnosis through pattern-based recognition.
The program is part of IDENTV's strategy of demonstrating broad interoperability by meeting a major emerging technical requirement for the military, intelligence and law enforcement agencies as they attempt to manage massive amounts of video. The geometric expansion of both military and civilian visual sensors has made real-time indexing and search of billions of frames of video a mission critical function.
IDENTV was recently selected as one of the Top 5 Artificial Intelligence companies in the DC area.
