iD Tech Rapidly Expanding Offerings For Increased Demand For Virtual Tech Education Filling Void With Schools Closed
World-Leader Explodes onto the Distance Learning Scene
BAY AREA, Calif., March 18, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- With schools across the world now closed due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, many parents are struggling with children at home, in need of help to structure their time desiring to keep their students busy and learning. iD Tech, the world leader in tech education experiences, is offering a new suite of virtual online education experiences in real time.
While still looking forward to the summer, iD Tech understands the need for quality tech education is right now. iD Tech is launching a Virtual Tech Camp experience led by iD Tech's renowned high caliber instructors while mirroring the summer camp programs that iD Tech has operated for more than 20 years on over 150 college and university campuses across the world. Building skills and confidence, while also establishing camaraderie with like-minded students, is also the mission of the new Virtual Tech Camp initiative that iD Tech is launching today, with the first session commencing Monday, March 23.

The new Virtual Tech Camps will feature:
- Scratch Game Design with Visual Coding (Ages 7-9)
- Minecraft World Designer (Ages 7-9)
- Minecraft Modding with Java Coding (Ages 10-12)
- Roblox Game Design: Coding and Monetization (Ages 10-12)
- Coding Games with JavaScript (Ages 10-12)
- Intro to Python Coding (Ages 13-19)
- Minecraft Modding in Java (Ages 13-19)
- 3D Game Design in Unity (Ages 13-19)
In addition, iD Tech's 1:1 Online Private Lessons are being offered in newly created theme packs, comprised of five 60-minute lessons. Students will be led through a series of projects and activities by iD Tech's acclaimed certified instructors in topics that they are interested and excited to learn. These include:
- Game Development: Building an Active Platformer using Scratch (Ages 7 and up)
- Minecraft: Building an Adventure Map; for students (Ages 7 and up)
- Coding: Design a Tetris-style game using Python (Ages 10 and up)
- Roblox: Creating, Designing, Monetizing, and Publishing Your Own Game (Ages 10 and up)
- Game Development: Building a FIFA-style 3-D soccer game using Unity (Ages 13 and up)
- Coding: Computer Science if 101 (Ages 13 and up)
Each 1:1 Online Private Lesson is tailored to the individual student's interest and skill-level, and sessions are scheduled at the student's convenience. As the courses are project-based, students will be able to build hands-on skills and confidence in achieving their specific goals throughout each lesson. iD Tech just announced today, that any enrolled student in Online Private Lessons can bring a sibling or a friend for free.
