ID Media Named a Four-Time Crain's "Best Places to Work in New York City"
NEW YORK, Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- ID Media, an Interpublic Group media agency, has been named a Crain's "Best Places to Work in New York City" for the fourth consecutive year.
The agency, which specializes in direct and digital media services, has consistently notched the honor since Crain's New York Business first introduced the rankings—which recognize companies that create excellent workplace cultures—in 2008. Crain's revealed the results of this year's winners in its December 5 edition.
Winners spanned sectors as diverse as technology, marketing, public relations, engineering, finance, hospitality and law. ID Media, in particular, is a company that excels at providing "no shortage of employee appreciation," the staff of Crain's New York Business said during a celebratory luncheon, held at the Sheraton New York Hotels & Towers on December 2.
Crain's, in partnership with Best Companies Group, selected this year's winners based on the results of a weighted survey comprised of 75 percent employee and 25 percent company feedback. Employees evaluated the company in areas such as salaries, benefits and perks, as well as company leadership, planning, corporate culture, communications and role satisfaction.
ID Media has been recognized by Crain's in the past for its open-door communications policy, nurturing atmosphere and the professional development opportunities employees have to work with great brands, such as American Express, Johnson & Johnson and Verizon.
"The building blocks of our corporate culture include employee recognition, communication, rewards and development, among others, and we have programs to help us achieve all of these. But what they all net down to is the core conviction that our people are our greatest drivers of business success," said ID Media CEO Lynn Fantom.
Said Crain's New York Business Editor Xana Antunes: "The 50 companies that make up Crain's 'Best Places to Work in New York City' represent the top employers throughout the five boroughs and explain why the best and brightest from all over the country consistently choose to make our city the place where they live and work."
Other recipients honored this year include The North Highland Company, Hunton & Williams LLP, Golin Harris (also an IPG agency), and Bingham McCutchen LLP.
