Icontrol Networks Recognized For Continuing Innovation
Named a Finalist for 2015 American Business Awards Most Innovative Company of the Year; Home View 3D and Piper nv Products Receive Industry Honors
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., May 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Icontrol Networks, the company behind the most widely-distributed interactive security and home automation platform in the industry, today announced it was named a finalist in the Most Innovative Company of the Year - Up to 2,500 Employees category in the 2015 American Business Awards, and will ultimately be a Gold, Silver or Bronze Stevie® Award winner in the program.
More than 3,300 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories. Finalists were chosen by scores of business professionals nationwide during first-round judging in April and May. Members of several specialized judging committees will determine Stevie Award placements from among the finalists during final judging, to take place later this month.
"The American Business Awards are among the most prestigious honors in the business community," said Bob Hagerty, CEO of Icontrol Networks. "To be named a leading innovator by this group is a testament to the hard work and dedication our team has put in to remain the industry leader in an increasingly competitive field."
This honor comes on the heels of three separate wins for Icontrol products – Home View 3D received the 2015 Connected World Magazine IoT Innovation and Electronic House Products of the Year Awards, and Piper nv was recognized with a 2015 Silver Edison Award™ in the Home Security category. Icontrol's Home View 3D gives users the ability to view and manage their entire connected home in a single, three-dimensional rendering, and Piper nv is an all-in-one home security, video monitoring and automation device for consumers.
About each award:
- The 2015 Connected World Magazine IoT Innovation Awards were judged by an editorial panel representing a cross section of the industry, and were selected based on a variety of criteria, including most creative and technologically advanced products, services and platforms.
- Electronic House's 2015 Products of the Year recognize the best technologies, products and services for the Electronic House. The award submissions were reviewed by a judging panel of several credible industry leaders along with the editors of Electronic House and CE Pro, who consider all aspects involved such as creativity, innovation, functionality, aesthetics and lifestyle benefits.
- Edison Awards are inspired by Thomas Edison's persistence and inventiveness, and recognize innovation, creativity and ingenuity in the global economy. Nominees are judged by more than 3,000 senior business executives and academics from across the nation whose votes acknowledge the Finalists' success in meeting the award's stringent criteria of quality.
"It is great to see these type of awards focus on the innovation that is happening in the connected home market," said Letha McLaren, chief marketing officer at Icontrol. "Icontrol is committed to bringing consumers the peace of mind that connected living affords, and the continued recognition of our innovation and superior user experiences is very exciting."
