Icontrol Networks Appoints Two Smart Home Industry Veterans to Company Leadership
New CMO and CTO support company's rapid growth
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., April 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Icontrol Networks, the company behind the most widely-distributed interactive security and home automation platform in the industry, today announced the appointment of two senior executives to its expanding leadership team – Letha McLaren will lead Icontrol's product and marketing initiatives as chief marketing officer (CMO), and Corey Gates will oversee technology across all business units as chief technology officer (CTO).
Formerly serving as the vice president of product management at Icontrol, McLaren has more than 15 years of diverse marketing, product development and business leadership experience in the technology and energy industries. She is a member of the Sustainable Buildings Working Group with the Clinton Global Initiative and frequently speaks at industry events like TiECon, Apps World and CONNECTIONS. In her new role as CMO, she will be responsible for product expansion and corresponding marketing strategies to allow Icontrol to continue as the leader in the connected home space.
Gates has more than 20 years of experience managing both hardware and software product lifecycles, and previously served as the senior vice president of engineering at Icontrol. Prior to joining Icontrol in 2010, Gates co-founded telecommunications technology companies Essentel and AudioTalk Networks, and served in engineering and operational roles at First Virtual Corporation, ShareVision Technology and Creative Labs. As CTO, Gates will play an integral role in developing technologies that expand beyond Icontrol's traditional service provider solutions, to include direct-to-consumer products.
