WASHINGTON, Feb. 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- ICMA-RC is once again participating in America Saves Week, which will take place February 26-March 3, 2018. The goal of this annual, week-long campaign is to promote good savings habits and encourage Americans to create or evaluate their savings goals.
For this year's campaign, ICMA-RC's financial planning professionals will host a Facebook Live panel discussion on March 1, 2018, at 2 P.M. EST. The panelists will offer tips on making smarter spending and saving decisions, as well as answer questions from the audience.
"This year we are thrilled to be adding a live panel discussion to our America Saves Week campaign," said Alex Hannah, Managing Vice President, Marketing and Communications. "At ICMA-RC, we know that many public sector workers are not desk-facing and we hope that using Facebook Live will allow our participants to join in on our America Saves discussion wherever they may be using the device of their choosing or watch it at a later time – however is convenient."
ICMA-RC also plans to promote an America Saves resource (www.icmarc.org/AmericaSaves), created specifically for the week. The website will feature a new easy-to-use budget calculator to help public sector employees get control of their monthly living expenses. The site also contains educational resources, including daily tips that focus on responsible spending and ways to save.
