ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors Revealed

NEW YORK and LONDON, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

ICIS Chemical Business magazine has unveiled its annual ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors listing ranked by 2011 sales.

At the top of the ranking is Germany-based Brenntag, with $11.2bn in sales, followed by US-based Univar with $9.7bn in sales, and US-based Nexeo Solutions with $4bn.

Currency conversions to US dollars for the ranking were based on year-end 2011 exchange rates.

"We are pleased to once again introduce the ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors - a global listing of companies critical to the chemical supply chain. We had a record number of entries this year and we also break out sales by geographic region," said Global Editor Joseph Chang.

The ICIS Top 100 Chemical Distributors is a global ranking, with regional leaders also broken out separately for North America, Europe, Asia, Latin America and Middle East & Africa.

The listing also goes beyond the Top 100 companies ranked by sales. This year we provide details on 191 chemical distributors around the world.
