ICF Welcomes New Executive Director
Mook to lead global organization
LEXINGTON, Ky., July 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of the International Coach Federation (ICF) is pleased to announce that Magdalena Mook has been promoted to Executive Director of the ICF. Mook has served as ICF's Assistant Executive Director since originally joining the ICF in October 2005. During this time, she has supported the ICF with her more than a decade of experience in fundraising, development, consulting, and association management.
"I am excited to start my new role with the ICF. I've had the honor of working with the association's volunteer leaders and members for nearly six years - a real community of doers - and look forward to continuing these relationships as well as building new ones in support of ICF's goals and mission," said Mook.
Previously Mook worked as Assistant Director of National Policy and Director of Development with the Council of State Governments (CSG), a national association of state officials in all three branches of U.S. government, where she oversaw the design and implementation of development strategy for CSG, coordinated policy-specific research and implementation activities, and worked closely with the USAID's US-Asia Environmental Program, overseeing grant programs in 11 nations of Southeast Asia.
Prior to CSG, she served as program manager for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service. Through her work with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Mook managed international conferences, monitored and evaluated programs, prepared budgets, organized task forces, and implemented special projects in four European countries.
ICF President and Professional Certified Coach Ed Modell said, "I have had the pleasure of working with Magdalena for several years both on the global Committee and Board levels. Over that time I have been repeatedly impressed by her level of capability and dedication to ICF's mission. I am confident that she will continue to be a strong asset to ICF's members and leaders in her new role."
Mook's formal education includes an M.S. in Economics and International Trade from the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland and completion of the Copenhagen Business School's Advanced Program in International Management and Consulting. Mook is fluent in Polish, Russian, and English, and has a working knowledge of French.
ICF's previous Executive Director, Gary E. Boyler, resigned to pursue other opportunities. Modell praised Boyler for his dedicated service to the ICF over the past several years.
