LONDON, March 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- CleanEquity® Monaco 2017, the forum for emerging sustainable technology and resource efficiency companies, hosted by Innovator Capital and the Monaco Economic Board, closed on Friday, 10th March with the Awards Ceremony in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
An independent panel of judges, chaired by His Serene Highness, selected Iceotope as winner of the award for Excellence in the Field of Technology Commercialisation.
Mungo Park, Chairman of Innovator Capital commented: "Iceotope delivers dramatic reduction in Capex, Opex, energy consumption and IT footprint. Its silent, liquid cooling platform allows data centres to be located anywhere and in non-specialised facilities. Iceotope, in my opinion, is the best in class solution to address the exponential increase in demand, generated by connected devices and autonomous vehicles, for localised data processing at 'the edge of network'. Well done!"
UK-based Iceotope's cutting-edge liquid cooling technology removes the need for air infrastructure and enables fast deployment of IT in any location. Iceotope has designed and manufactured a flexible and efficient product range from workstations through to rack based enterprise data centres for edge of network and cloud. The company utilises immersion liquid cooling at the blade level to seal and protect IT from dust and heat - enhancing system performance, increasing product lifespan and enabling deployment in harsh environments. By removing traditional air-based cooling, Iceotope systems operate in silence, bringing data closer to the user and reducing latency.
Iceotope closed a series A round in 2014 bringing in leading investors Aster Capital (whose Limited Partners and sponsors include Schneider Electric, the market leading IT infrastructure cooling company, Solvay & Alstom) and UK based Ombu Group, specialists in advanced industrial technology investment.
Iceotope's technology has proven it can reduce Capex by 25%; Opex by 40%; electricity consumption by 71%; and space by 75%. Iceotope has sold already into data centres, defence, research, security, creative and advanced manufacturing with leading customers such as Rolls-Royce. As a result, Iceotope have been recognised with the Technology Commercialisation award at CleanEquity®Monaco 2017.
Stephan Hollingshead, Chief Operating Officer at Iceotope, accepted the award at the ceremony and commented: "We are delighted to have won the award for Best Commercialisation of Technology at CleanEquity®. This award demonstrates clear recognition of our innovative, sustainable technology and affirmation of our strategy for success in this exciting and growing market."
CleanEquity® thanks, in particular: The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Covington & Burling, Deloitte, Cision, Parkview Group, Cranfield University, Cisco EIR, Social Stock Exchange, Hobbs & Towne, Monaco Economic Board and the International University of Monaco.
CleanEquity® Monaco will be returning to the Principality of Monaco in March 2018.
