DENVER, May 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Ibotta, the mobile shopping app whose users have earned more than $200 million in cash-back rebates on everyday purchases, is raising a glass to every mother in America this Mother's Day by offering a free mimosa, up to a $5 value, redeemable through the app.
This Sunday, May 14, moms everywhere can enjoy a complimentary mimosa at Mother's Day brunch, dinner or just because, courtesy of Ibotta. It's Ibotta's way of saying thanks to the nearly 60 percent of Ibotta users who are moms – and all other mothers – who make our lives so special.
"This Mother's Day, Ibotta wants to toast moms who are always putting others' needs before their own," said Bryan Leach, founder and CEO of Ibotta. "Today is their day, so we're asking them to sit back, relax and enjoy a mimosa on us."
Starting at midnight, moms can download the free Ibotta app, open the Restaurants and Bars category, tap the 'Mimosa for Mom' rebate and enjoy a mimosa at any local restaurant or bar. After purchase, they just need to upload their receipt through the Ibotta app to receive $5 cash back.
Since launching in 2012, Ibotta has been wildly popular with moms, its largest demographic. Three-quarters of the app's Gen X (36-51 years old) users are moms, while 58 percent of Ibotta's millennial users (19-35 years old) are moms.
According to an analysis of 46 million receipts, Ibotta found that moms purchase almost 20 percent less alcoholic beverages than other users of the Ibotta app, making this Mother's Day the perfect time to toast all they do.
