IBERIABANK Names Alabama Regional President

BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- IBERIABANK (www.iberiabank.com), the 126-year-old subsidiary of IBERIABANK Corporation, is pleased to announce Gregory A. King, who has served as the Market President of Northern Alabama since 2009, has been named Regional President of Alabama to oversee all of the Alabama markets.

A. from The University of Alabama at Birmingham and received his Executive Education at Harvard Business School.  He has spent the majority of his banking career in this state.  He knows Alabama, its industries, communities and has deep roots across the region."

King started his career with Highland Bank in Birmingham.  He joined AmSouth Bank in 1997 (later bought by Regions Bank) where he served in a number of roles.  He worked in the Metropolitan Commercial Banking Group and served as Assistant Relationship Manager and then as Vice President and Commercial Banking Relationship Manager. King moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 2005 as Senior Vice President and Sales Manager for Commercial and Industrial Banking in Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia.  Prior to joining IBERIABANK in 2009, he served as Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Middle Market Commercial and Industrial Banking in North Central Alabama for Regions Bank.

Active in the community, King currently serves on the board of several organizations including Pathways (past Board President), The Birmingham Business Alliance (Trustee), The Greater Alabama Council Boy Scouts of America,  United Way of Central Alabama and  The Edward Lee Norton Board of Advisors at Birmingham Southern College.  He also served as Chairman of the 2013 United Way of Central Alabama Pacesetter Campaign.  King is a member of The Rotary Club of Birmingham and Leadership Birmingham Class of 2014.

Greg and his wife, Kendall, have one son, Wells, and the family resides in Mountain Brook, Alabama.
