IAPP Launches Incident Response Center Powered by RADAR
Free tool exclusively for IAPP members to stay current with federal, state, and international data breach laws, including the GPDR; debuts at IAPP Global Privacy Summit.
PORTLAND, Ore., April 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- RADAR, Inc., a patented, award-winning incident response management and decision-support SaaS solution provider, in partnership with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), the world's largest association of privacy professionals, announces the launch of a free tool for IAPP members. The IAPP-RADAR Incident Response Center enables privacy and legal professionals to keep up with ever-changing federal, state and international data breach laws and helps ensure compliance. It will debut at the IAPP Global Privacy Summit April 17-20 in Washington, D.C.
The IAPP-RADAR Incident Response Center gives organizations up-to-date overviews of breach notification laws and their scope, risk assessment provisions, notification requirements, and penalties. The tool includes a list of jurisdictions with proposed legislation, plus a watchlist that tracks recently passed legislation. It also includes interactive maps that provide an at-a-glance overview of key elements of breach notification laws, such as which jurisdictions regulate both paper and electronic personal information, allow for a risk of harm analysis, or require notice to the state attorney general.
"It is critical that our members have access to innovative and sophisticated technology solutions to help their organizations stay compliant, and make their day-to-day jobs more manageable," said IAPP President and CEO J. Trevor Hughes, CIPP. "RADAR gives our members access to a robust and valuable tool that they may need to do their jobs effectively."
"Our partnership with IAPP is focused on providing privacy professionals with an efficient and effective tool that meets their specific needs for managing the growing complexities of compliance with privacy and security regulations, particularly in the age of GDPR," said Mahmood Sher-Jan, CEO of RADAR, Inc. "The IAPP-RADAR Incident Response Center gives IAPP members a free, fully integrated feature of the RADAR platform to stay current with federal, state, and international data breach laws."
