IABC Cleveland Honors Outstanding Communicators at Vision Awards Ceremony
Communicator of the Year and Future Vision Award Scholarship Recipient Announced
CLEVELAND, May 18 /PRNewswire/ -- The Cleveland Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) will present its annual Vision Awards ceremony to recognize the winners of this year's competition and the 2010 Communicator of the Year during a luncheon ceremony June 2.
This year's event will feature special guest and emcee, Loree Vick, University Hospitals' senior advisor on public relations and media. Vick is also a broadcaster, communications consultant and community champion. The luncheon will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Windows on the River, located on the West Bank of the Flats. The Vision Awards presentation is IABC Cleveland's premier event, which honors the achievements of exceptional professionals in marketing, corporate communications, design and public relations.
Kimberly St. John-Stevenson, the 2010 Communicator of the Year, will serve as the keynote speaker. In her role at the Saint Luke's Foundation, St. John-Stevenson is deeply committed to fostering excellence in communication throughout the greater Cleveland community. Her wide-reaching efforts offer tools and resources that enable area organizations to build greater communication capacity and offer much-needed programming and services to the people of the community.
In addition to recognizing outstanding achievement in business communication, IABC Cleveland will award its fourth annual Future Vision Award scholarship to an outstanding local student working toward a degree in a communication field. This year's recipient, Jennifer Holton, a sophomore majoring in communications at John Carroll University, has earned $2,000 toward her junior year studies.
A raffle will be held to benefit the IABC Cleveland Future Vision Award scholarship fund. The fund awards an annual scholarship to a college student pursuing a communications-related career.
