ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Building the future of fun with new thrill rides and emerging technology is the buzz of IAAPA Attractions Expo 2018 underway in Orlando through Friday, Nov. 16. This year's Expo celebrates the centennial of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).
IAAPA Attractions Expo is the largest annual gathering for the global theme park and attractions business. The event brings every facet of the industry together to discover what is new and to make investment decisions for the years ahead.
A virtual midway filling more than 10 miles of aisles—including fully operational rides, fun foods, new arcade games, inflatables, and experts from the many fields it takes to operate a successful attraction—transforms the Orange County Convention Center into the epicenter for the business of fun.
The event is the place where news happens as exciting announcements about new attractions and entertainment coming to amusement parks around the world in 2019 and beyond take place right on the trade show floor. Big news is anticipated from Feld Entertainment, Kennywood, Legoland Florida Resort, Madame Tussauds Orlando, and SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.
Ride manufacturers Intamin, Premier Rides, Sally Corporation, Skyline Attractions, S&S Worldwide, WhiteWater West, and Zamperla will take part in these announcements. The press conference list is available at www.IAAPA.org/ExpoPressEvents.
The future of roller coaster design, dark ride development, water slides, immersive experiences, food and beverage, theming and design, ticketing technology, and more is on display by more than 1,000 exhibiting companies. Additional detail about what's new at IAAPA Attractions Expo is available at www.IAAPA.org/SneakPeek.
Representing more than 100 nations, 35,000 professionals from water and theme parks, family entertainment centers, aquariums, zoos, museums, science centers, resorts, and more attend to build relationships, test innovations, and learn best practices.
IAAPA Attractions Expo 2018 features over 100 education experiences including behind-the-scenes EDUTours of Florida destinations such as Andretti's Indoor Karting & Games, Disney's Toy Story Land, Fun Spot America, SeaWorld Orlando, Topgolf, Universal Studios Florida, and Universal's Volcano Bay.
IAAPA's GM and Owner's Breakfast is headlined by Bob Chapek, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. In addition, the industry celebrates the best creativity and excellence in entertainment, merchandise, marketing, food and beverage, and HR during the IAAPA Brass Ring Awards.
