I2BF Global Ventures to Participate in Fortune Brainstorm Green Water Investment Panel
Founding and Managing Partner, Ilya Golubovich, to Join Executives in Discussing Biggest Financial Opportunities in Water Technologies
NEW YORK, May 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- I2BF Global Ventures, a leading global technology investment firm, today announced that its Founding and Managing Partner, Ilya Golubovich, is among a select group of water resource experts invited to speak at the Fortune Brainstorm Green conference, May 19-21 in Laguna Niguel, Calif. Golubovich will join executives from GE, Anheuser-Busch InBev, EFW Partners and TaKaDu on May 20 for a panel titled, "H2O Opportunity: Investing in Water," to discuss the water-related technologies they expect to be game changers as the resource continues to be constrained.
I2BF Global Ventures is an international venture capital firm with a portfolio of 12 cleantech companies, including Epuramat, which has developed a water treatment technology for the treatment of municipal wastewater and industrial process water. The company's patented ExSep® technology enables industrial companies to reprocess and re-use water with limited energy and chemical demand and reduce fresh water needs and fees. Golubovich considers oil-water separation to be among the most important technologies moving forward as populations continue to grow and public entities are required to provide services for a greater number of residents.
"I look forward to sharing the insight I've gained in the water space by investing in and advising both water technology companies and energy companies," said Ilya Golubovich. "Ultimately, even more than energy, water plays an integral role in whether our communities and economies can thrive. The energy, agriculture and textiles industries are the largest consumers of water so we must look at technologies that aid in the management of water resources on the front end and more efficiently re-uses or processes the water on the backend."
Golubovich founded I2BF Global Ventures in 2005 as a clean technology focused venture capital firm. The firm has since expanded to invest in nanotechnology, space and digital with 24 completed transactions and more than $300 million under management across four venture capital vehicles. Golubovich is on the board of directors of I2BF cleantech portfolio companies Nesscap Energy, Primus Power, Solix Biosystems and GMZ Energy.
