FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Aug. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America named Michele Tinson manager of Midwest product public relations. Tinson is responsible for furthering Hyundai's presence and products in the Midwest and will be responsible for ride and drive events, product launches, press conferences and product communications for the region. Tinson is based in Superior Township, Mich., at the Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. facility.
Tinson has more than twenty years of communications experience with multiple automotive auto manufacturers including Chrysler/DaimlerChrysler, SAAB Cars N.A. and Nissan. Most recently Tinson was director of Internal Communications at TE Connectivity, a global supplier of connectors and sensors for multiple industries. Over the years, Tinson has led significant communications programs and roles such as Chrysler's grand opening of its Toledo Supplier Park and the 'The Back Is Where It's At' airbag safety campaign, which was awarded the highest public relations honor, the Arthur W. Page award. Tinson has also completed numerous new product launches including SAAB's 9-5 sedan and 9-4X crossover SUV as well as multiple global auto show reveals.

Michele earned her Bachelor of Arts from Albion College in Albion, Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and being active outdoors.
