Hyundai Motor America to Donate 1,000 Coats to Focus: Hope for Underprivileged Youth in Southeast Michigan Communities
Automaker's third annual coat donation and $10,000 check donation highlight corporate social responsibility during activities at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit
DETROIT, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America today announced it will donate 1,000 coats to the Detroit-based community organization, Focus: HOPE, for distribution to underprivileged youth in the community, as part of its activities for the 2012 North American International Auto Show. A ceremony will be held at the Focus: HOPE center in Detroit on Tuesday, January 10 at 9:00 a.m., where members of Focus: HOPE will be joined by representatives from Hyundai Motor America and South Michigan Hyundai dealers for a celebration of HOPE, including the distribution of coats and a $10,000 donation to the Eleanor M. Josaitis Fund for Focus: HOPE.

Focus: HOPE is a nationally renowned civil and human rights community organization that serves the Southeast Michigan communities through its food, career training programs, and HOPE Village Initiative. Since the organization's founding 43 years ago, Focus: HOPE has operated under its mission to pledge intelligent and practical action to overcome racism, poverty and injustice.
