Beginning Feb. 15, anyone who "Likes" the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Facebook page can select one of 14 pediatric cancer organizations participating, and Hyundai Hope on Wheels will donate $5 to that organization. Each organization is eligible to receive up to $10,000, with all funds going directly to childhood cancer programs.
"Hyundai Motor America and Hyundai dealers have made it our mission to find a cure for childhood cancer and have been working toward that goal since our program's inception in 1998," said Zafar Brooks, director of corporate social responsibility, Hyundai Motor America. "We are not in this fight alone, and Hope on Wheels is proud to provide additional support to our partners in this common goal. Together we can make a difference."
Hyundai Hope on Wheels selected the following organizations to participate in this year's "Like 4 Hope" program due to their long-standing partnership with Hope on Wheels and their shared commitment to finding a cure: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund, Texas Children's Hospital, Rady Children's Hospital San Diego, Hope & Heroes, B+ Foundation, AFLAC Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Seattle Children's Research Institute, Children's Memorial Hospital, Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, CBC - Children Battling Cancer, PADRES Contra El Cancer, Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt and St. Baldrick's Foundation.
"We appreciate the ongoing support of Hyundai Hope on Wheels and are grateful for their contributions over the last 14 years," said Suzanne Fountain, director of The Jimmy Fund. "Funding from Hyundai Hope on Wheels is critical to our research efforts to develop new and better treatments, and, hopefully cures, for pediatric cancers."
