Hyperdynamics Presented at the 2011 Guinea Symposium of Mines and Met With High Level Government Officials
HOUSTON, May 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyperdynamics Corporation (NYSE Amex: HDY) announced today that Ray Leonard, Hyperdynamics' president and chief executive officer, was a presenter at the 2011 Guinea Symposium of Mines in Conakry on May 11, 2011. The Moderator of the session was Fassine Fofana, a former Minister of Mines and Geology, who commented that, "Hyperdynamics has shown in the past year and a half that a small company focused on a specific objective and project can achieve faster results than a much larger company with more diverse interests."
Following his presentation, Leonard met with the Minister of Mines and Geology, His Excellency Mohamed Lamine Fofana, and the Prime Minister of Guinea, His Excellency Mohamed Said Fofana. The scope of the meeting was to review Hyperdynamics' progress during the past year and drilling plans in the fourth quarter of 2011. Prime Minister Fofana stated that he was "pleased with Hyperdynamics' progress and looked forward to the initiation of drilling later this year."
