Hyperdynamics Announces Adjournment of 2016 Annual Stockholders Meeting in Order to Solicit Additional Proxies

HOUSTON, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyperdynamics Corporation (OTCQX: HDYN) today announced that it would adjourn the Company's 2016 annual meeting of stockholders in order to solicit additional proxies to reach the necessary quorum to conduct business at the annual meeting. The annual meeting was originally scheduled for Monday, February 27, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. Central Time and a new date will be announced as soon as possible.

No changes have been made to the record date or the proposals to be brought before the annual meeting, which are presented in the proxy statement and related materials that the Company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") on February 7, 2017 and previously mailed to stockholders of record as of January 20, 2017.
