CLEVELAND, Sept. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyland has selected three finalists for the third annual OnBase Innovation Awards for Government, recognizing the most innovative solutions driving government efficiency with OnBase.
Hyland's 2018 OnBase Innovation Award finalists for Government are:
- City of Lincoln transformed its construction permitting process to create an online solution for city residents and staff. By utilizing OnBase's online forms, workflow, notifications, document composition, DocuSign integration and other features on the back end, applicants can file for both city and state permits simultaneously, saving time and streamlining the process for city staff. The OnBase solution also integrates with state agencies who can now track their obligations by managing the permit through the local authority, from start to finish.
- Wasatch County, UT wanted to drive efficiency and keep up with the development in their county. With OnBase, they abandoned their paper-based plan reviews for an electronic submission and review process that lets them provide better customer service and keep up with the growth in requests. OnBase's Electronic Plan Review provides them with a submission portal, workflow routing, a coordinator's dashboard and a native plan viewer to support a faster and more cost-effective review process.
- Ohio Environmental Protection Agency utilizes OnBase to streamline and track important services to stakeholders, including thousands of public records requests, permit applications and interactions with entities involved in the enforcement process. The agency fulfills thousands of public records requests per year, which are now managed through an online public portal where customers can access documents on their own. For permitting, there are numerous workflows now in place to streamline approvals and deliver a consistent process with robust tracking. A recent pilot also utilized OnBase unity forms to track correspondence when an entity is starting the enforcement process, capturing important information that is not a file or document, including phone calls and in-person meetings.
"These Innovation Award finalists demonstrate the way OnBase technology can transform day-to-day operations to make government agencies more effective and agile in serving their communities," said Terri Jones, solution marketing manager for government at Hyland. "We are excited to highlight these three finalists, and look forward to finding out the winner at CommunityLIVE."
The winner of the 2018 OnBase Innovation Award for Government will be announced Tues., Sept. 11 at CommunityLIVE, Hyland's annual user conference hosted at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville.
