CLEVELAND, Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyland Healthcare, a leading provider of software solutions for enterprise imaging, business processes and case management, achieved three industry distinctions for work in enterprise imaging, including projects in cybersecurity, image sharing and collaboration with the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).

First, Hyland Healthcare is working with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence Securing Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Cybersecurity for the Healthcare Sector Use Case Consortium to develop practical, interoperable cybersecurity approaches that address the real-world needs of complex Information Technology (IT) systems. By accelerating dissemination and use of these integrated tools and technologies for protecting IT assets, the NCCoE will enhance trust in U.S. IT communications, data, and storage systems; reduce risk for companies and individuals using IT systems; and encourage development of innovative, job-creating cybersecurity products and services.

Also, Hyland's Acuo Vendor Neutral Archive and NilRead Universal Viewing platforms once again achieved the RSNA Image Share Validation, demonstrating compliance to quality standards determined most effective for accurate and efficient exchange of medical images. This is the second time Hyland Healthcare's solutions have earned this designation.
