Huron Capital's Sean Roberts, Heather Madland Win M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders Award
M&A Advisor Awards Recognize Top Under-40 Dealmakers
DETROIT, April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Huron Capital Partners LLC ("Huron Capital") today announced Sean Roberts, a Principal at Huron Capital, and Heather Madland, Vice President of Business Development, were recently named winners of The M&A Advisor's Emerging Leaders Awards. Roberts won in the Dealmaker category, and Madland was honored for Marketing, Communications and Business Development.
"These awards are very well-deserved," said Huron Capital Managing Partner Brian Demkowicz. "Both Sean and Heather are hard-working professionals, and reflect the strength of the team we have assembled. It's critical to have emerging leaders like Sean and Heather as we look to build Huron Capital for long-term growth."
Roberts joined Huron Capital in 2008 and has been a key contributor to several investment platforms including Quest Specialty Chemicals, Victoria Fine Foods and Drake Automotive Group. Among other deals, Sean was instrumental in executing the firm's investment in Dynamic Dental Partners, the M&A Advisor Deal of the Year in 2013.
Madland joined Huron Capital in 2013 to lead the firm's business development activities in the West and Southwest. Her efforts helped the firm achieve two consecutive years of record deal activity (2014 and 2015) in which Huron Capital closed 39 new investments.
"The Annual M&A Advisor Emerging Leaders Awards was born as the 40 Under 40 Awards in the United States in 2010 to recognize and celebrate the achievements of young M&A, Financing and Turnaround professionals who had reached a significant level of success and made a notable contribution to their industry and community," said David Fergusson, President and Co-CEO of The M&A Advisor. "With the expansion of the Emerging Leaders program to the United Kingdom, and Europe earlier this year, the 2016 U.S. award winners join a truly global network of young leaders."
The M&A Advisor will host a black tie awards gala at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on Friday, June 10. The event will introduce the Emerging Leaders Award Winners to the business community and celebrate their achievements.
