In the almost two years that River Valley Muffler & Auto Care has been open, Randy has sought opportunities to advance his company. Aligning with U-Haul was a major step. He hopes to add bays to his repair shop, located seven miles northeast of Fort Smith and nine miles east of the Oklahoma border, this summer.

Van Buren is a small but growing community with "a home-town feeling – and everybody is really friendly," according to Melissa.

The McNeeses take their two daughters on hunting and fishing trips when they aren't repairing vehicles, and they also go four-wheeling in the mountains.

Randy's hunting eye came in handy when spotting his business setup. He worked for a car repair shop for 25 years before going into business for himself.

"I had customers in the surrounding area, and then I decided to branch out on my own," Randy said.
