NEW YORK, July 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Hunt Mortgage Group, a leader in financing commercial real estate throughout the United States, announced today it continues the expansion of its Seniors Housing and Healthcare team with the addition of three new executives. All three new Senior Housing experts will focus on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac credit and underwriting for this niche sector.
"We are actively building out our Seniors Housing team as part of our effort to become a prominent provider of financing in this space," noted Jim Flynn. "We hired a team of Seniors Housing Originators in January lead by industry veteran, Kathryn Burton–Gray. These new Hunt Mortgage Group team members will focus exclusively on credit and underwriting aspects of seniors housing and healthcare, in conjunction with our existing FHA production team, allowing us to make tremendous headway in the sector."
The new team members include:
- Andrew Kitts who joined the firm as a Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer. He comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from RED Capital and is based in Hunt's Irvine, California office. Kitts brings more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate to his new position. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership roles with RED's Seniors Housing team and several other leading financial institutions, including Bank of America Commercial Finance and The Main Group. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, Business Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
- Heath Coryell joined Hunt Mortgage Group as Director and Deputy Chief Underwriter. He will be based in Virginia and comes to the firm from Arbor, where he was the team leader for GSE Seniors Housing Credit. While at Arbor, Coryell was responsible for maintaining GSE and client relationships for the division. Earlier in his career, he spent time at Oak Capital and Berkadia in various underwriting and deal management roles. Coryell earned a BA in Business Economics with a Minor in History and Latin from Randolph Macon College in Ashland, Virginia.
- Wendy Lord joined as Director and will focus on Special Asset Management. Lord is based in Maryland and comes to Hunt Mortgage Group from Arbor, where she spent the last several years as a Vice President focused on Freddie Mac and Seniors Housing, While at Arbor, Lord worked on servicing and asset management for their Freddie Mac portfolio of more than 900 loans. Earlier in her career, Lord held positions at Property Financial Advisors, LLC and Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University School of Business, and a Masters in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University.
