EL PASO, Texas, Aug. 2, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Hunt Companies, Inc. announced today that Brian Stann has been appointed as CEO of Hunt Military Communities. Mr. Stann will succeed John Ehle, who served as President of Hunt Military Communities since 2016 when Hunt acquired Forest City's military housing portfolio. As CEO, Mr. Stann will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and operations of Hunt's military housing portfolio. Hunt Military Communities is comprised of 165,000 residents in approximately 52,000 homes on Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Army installations across the USA.

Mr. Stann brings 18 years of progressive and dynamic leadership experience with a unique track record. Prior to joining Hunt, Brian served as Chief Operating Officer at FirstKey Homes, a single-family rental REIT that owns and operates more than 32,000 single-family rental homes in 25 U.S. markets. In this position, Brian was responsible for all company and property operations, including property management, marketing, construction, and platform execution. He also redesigned all operating procedures while acquiring over 20,000 new homes into the portfolio.
Notably, Mr. Stann completed two combat tours during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was awarded the Silver Star, Navy Commendation Medal, 2 Navy Achievement Medals (one w/ combat distinguishing device), and numerous other awards for gallantry in battle and superior performance of duties. Following his distinguished service in the marines as a captain, Mr. Stann became CEO of Hire Heroes USA, a veteran employment non-profit organization.
As a former world champion and UFC Fighter, while posted as CEO of Hire Heroes, he additionally provided in-fight color commentary during UFC broadcasts. Mr. Stann additionally served as Vice President of Corporate Real Estate for MedAssets, a leading healthcare performance improvement company focused on enhancing financial and operational systems for providers.
