Hundreds of Travel Professionals Expected to Rally at State Capitol on 'CalTravel Rally Day,' June 6
Event Giving Voice to Positive Impact of Tourism on Jobs and Economy Caps Travel Summit, June 4-6, 2012
BURBANK, Calif., Jan. 17, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Attendees of the California Travel Association's (CalTravel) 30th Annual 'California Travel Summit' will have the opportunity to visit the state capitol and speak with state legislators and key staff in support of travel industry jobs on 'CalTravel Rally Day at the Capitol, Tourism = Jobs,' event Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
The rally, which begins at 10:45 a.m. at the conclusion of the Summit's June 6 final session, will provide a unique opportunity for travel and tourism professionals to meet with key policy makers and legislative influencers and share critical messages about the value of the travel industry to the economic recovery of California. This special visit will conclude at 12:30 p.m.
The event, open to all registered travel and tourism professionals attending the 2012 Summit is also open to travel, tourism and hospitality professionals who attend and register for the Wednesday morning, June 6 briefing. The rally has been organized by the California Travel Association's Ambassador Program, which focuses on communicating the positive impact of travel and tourism on jobs and economic growth throughout California.
The 2012 CalTravel 30th Annual Summit noted as the state's premier travel, tourism, education and networking conference, takes place June 4-6, 2012 at the Sacramento Convention Center.
