Hundreds of Activists to Participate in 'Veterans Welcome Home Ride' in Protest of Proposed Closure of Historic Hot Springs VA Medical Center
HOT SPRINGS, S.D., Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- In a joint effort by veterans, for veterans, hundreds of 'Save the VA' activists will take part in the 'Veterans Welcome Home Ride' in honor of our nation's heroes and to protest the proposed closure of the Hot Springs VA Medical Center. Veterans, Native American tribal representatives, union leaders and community members will speak in support of providing the best care for America's veterans and denounce the proposed closure of the VA facility.
The Hot Springs 'Veterans Welcome Home Ride' procession will begin at 1 p.m. at the Dairy Queen on 5th Street and conclude at the Hot Springs VA facility.
