Huge 'Gala of the Arts' Sale and Exhibition From the Four Galleries and Personal Collection of Ann Jacob

HIGHLANDS, N.C., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Old Edwards Inn and Spa will host the Gala of the Arts August 26 through September 2, a first-of-its-kind event in Highlands, NC. Organized by Sam Call Productions, this is a huge exhibition and art sale from Ann Jacob's four galleries in Palm Beach, New York City, Atlanta and Highlands, North Carolina. Over 800 original oils, lithographs, watercolors, silkscreens and rare engravings will be offered for viewing and sale.

The show will have works by 200 artists, and ten artists will be on site including Milburn Riley, Gilsele Barrett, Peter Polities, Sergey Cherep, Dmitriy Proshkin, Thomas Barrett, Ann Smith, Ed Hofer, Alexsei Kazantsev, plus internationally known photographer Greg Newington. The Gala will also have two wine receptions and an art auction benefiting the Literacy Council of Highlands with music by recording artist Cy Timmons. There will also be display of rare photographs and books.

Events throughout the week will also feature, live music, presentations the guest artists, an exclusive dinner with Ann Jacob, a Courtyard Wine Tasting event and trolley ride, a wine welcome and an Auction benefiting the Literacy Council of Highlands.  Guest packages available at the Old Edwards Inn, 4 1/2 Street Inn, and Mitchell's Lodge & Cottages, one guest from each Inn will receive an original work of art.
