Hudson Institute Welcomes Former National Security Council Adviser Dr. Nadia Schadlow as Senior Fellow
WASHINGTON, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hudson Institute announced today that Dr. Nadia Schadlow has joined Hudson Institute as a Senior Fellow. In this role, she will focus on national security, diplomacy and defense cooperation with America's allies and partners.

Before joining Hudson, Dr. Schadlow served as the Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategy in the Trump Administration and was the principal author of the Administration's National Security Strategy. On her departure, a White House spokesperson noted that her efforts on the strategy "set a strong foundation going forward for protecting the homeland, promoting American prosperity, preserving peace through strength and advancing American influence."
She is the author of "War and the Art of Governance" (Georgetown University Press, 2017), an examination of foreign military intervention and effective policymaking. Prior to her appointment to the National Security Council, she was a senior program officer in the International Security and Foreign Policy Program of the Smith Richardson Foundation. Formerly at the Pentagon, she also served as the first desk officer for Ukraine after the fall of the Soviet Union for the Department of the Army.
Dr. Schadlow holds a B.A. degree in government and Soviet studies from Cornell University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the John Hopkins Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Her writing has been published in The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Policy, The American Interest, Parameters and War on the Rocks.
