Hudson Institute to Host U.S. Premiere of "From Russia with Cash" Documentary with Cast and Creators
Investigation of corruptly obtained foreign funds in U.K. real estate transactions helped prompt action against international money laundering and shell-company purchases of British property
WASHINGTON, Dec. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hudson Institute's Kleptocracy Initiative will host the premiere of "From Russia with Cash," a U.K. documentary which exposed the British real estate industry's tacit acceptance of corruptly obtained foreign funds. Reaction to the film's initial release prompted the Prime Minister David Cameron's government to make corruption a top priority. On December 15, Hudson Institute, in conjunction with the Newseum Institute and Freedom House, will host the U.S. premiere of "From Russia with Cash." Cast members Natalie Sedletska and Roman Borisovich will attend the premiere – along with Ben Judah, the film's creative consultant and author. Special guest moderator will be Karen Dawisha, author of "Putin's Kleptocracy: Who Owns Russia?"
Attending cast and crew will be available for interviews, and members of the press are invited to attend the screening. Please contact Carolyn Stewart at [email protected].
