WASHINGTON, Jan. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julian Castro will speak at the National Press Club at noon on Tuesday, January 13.
Castro will address the state of housing and HUD's plans for the coming year.
Secretary Castro, a former mayor of San Antonio, is considered a rising star in the Democratic Party.
He delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2012 and was the first Hispanic ever to give the keynote speech at a national political convention.
The National Press Club event begins promptly at 12:00 p.m. and conclude at 1:00 p.m. Castro will take questions after his speech. The event will be held in the First Amendment Lounge.
