PLANO, Texas, Nov. 6, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Huawei today announced its sponsorship of Engadget Expand NY 2014, which runs from November 7-8 in New York City. During the event, Huawei will showcase its innovative Huawei Ascend Mate2 and complimentary Huawei TalkBand B1, which was just announced for the U.S. market. Huawei will also be showcasing two new devices, the Huawei Derby and the Huawei Sunshine.

Engadget Expand attracts more than 10,000 attendees and gives tech enthusiasts the unique opportunity to hear from favorite tech innovators and science luminaries on stage, and get their hands on some of the latest and greatest new devices on the show floor.

Launched in June 2014, Huawei will be demonstrating its Ascend Mate2 smartphone at Engadget Expand. The Ascend Mate2 provides consumers with incredible features and big value. It offers a powerful quad-core 1.6 GHz processor and a long-lasting 3900mAh lithium polymer battery that lets consumers stream 3 movies, surf the web for 12 hours, talk for 25 hours or listen to 100 hours of music on a single charge. In addition to the Ascend Mate2, Huawei will also be showcasing the three latest additions to its portfolio:

Talkband – Available in true black, the Huawei TalkBand B1 is the perfect hybrid talk and track companion for mobile devices. It is a wireless activity tracker and Bluetooth headset in one that connects to a mobile device to track activity time and progress including steps taken, mileage and calories burned.
Huawei Derby – Available in black, the Huawei Derby provides users with a high-end mobile experience and equipped with Android™ 4.4 (Kit Kat). The smartphone features a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8926 processor, along with a 5.5-inch high definition in-cell display and a 5MP front-facing camera. The Huawei Derby will launch in Q2 2015.
Huawei Sunshine – Available in black, the Huawei Sunshine comes equipped with Android™ 4.4 (Kit Kat). The smartphone features a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm MSM8926 processor, along with a 5-inch high definition in-cell display and a 8MP front-facing camera. The Huawei Sunshine will launch in Q2 2015.

Huawei will be located at Booth 9 in the North Hall of the Javits Convention Center in New York City from November 7 to 8, 2014.
