The Summit includes workshops, clinics and presentations covering business and technology issues that face IT solution providers, and provides attendees with opportunities to network and consult with each other to build relationships and solve common challenges. This year's event aims to help IT solution provider executives manage the "4 Ps" of successful companies – People, Process, Performance & Practice.
Arlin Sorensen, founder and CEO of the HTG Peer Groups, delivered his "state of the union" address along with special guests Todd Thibodeaux, CEO of CompTIA (Computer Technology Industry Association), John Fago, Sr. Director Channel Marketing - North America, (Ingram Micro) and Ryan Morris, Principal Consultant, (Morris Management Partners, Inc.).
The Summit also offers attendees Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings where members with common market interests or business traits can meet and share best practices, and general interest sessions such as marketing, sales, hiring, and benchmarking for continuing education and development.
Sorensen focused his remarks around the newly defined HTG 1:4:250 mantra. "HTG for the foreseeable future will have a single focus and vision – to help our members experience business and personal growth driven by execution. The foundation of that growth will be the four plans we use focused on business, leadership, life and legacy. Our growth will be targeting 250 member companies to create the 'special forces of the IT industry' – 250 members that are focused on being the best there are at execution and thought leadership. We will work to grow our member's companies to 10,000 strong in terms of employee count, and plan to touch 1,000,000 people through relationships with customers, vendors and their communities and families. HTG is focused on changing how IT companies perform and engage with excellence."
"This second annual summit reflects how HTG has grown, and so have many of our member companies – in fact, many have grown over 100 percent since joining HTG," said Sorensen. "Our mission is to help them accelerate growth and take their companies to the next level. We are thrilled to introduce them to several new vendors that will be making their first appearance in Dallas, and others that are returning for a second year with major announcements for us."
