LYNNFIELD, Mass., Sept. 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- HP Hood recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of its Winchester, VA processing plant with a special event to honor employees for their hard work and dedication. Hood, one of the largest branded dairy operators in the U.S., presented Congressman Hon. Bob Goodlatte, and Congresswoman Hon. Barbara Comstock who spoke about the positive impact the plant has made on the Winchester community over the past decade and a half to over 100 attendees.
HP Hood is one of the largest and most experienced extended-shelf-life (ESL) beverage processors in the U.S. Over the past 15 years, the plant has grown from 45 million to 150 million gallons in capacity, five to 13 filling lines, and 265,000 to a 465,000 square-foot facility that sits on 78 acres of land. Winchester employs over 500 workers and operates on a twenty-four hour, seven-day-a-week shift schedule.
