DENVER, Feb. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Hower Family Fund of Colorado, a Centennial-based family foundation, has helped raise more than $125,000 for Energy Outreach Colorado through a recent challenge grant. The Howers agreed to match up to $35,000 in new and increased gifts to EOC beginning last October. Their challenge was far surpassed when 613 donors contributed more than $91,600.

In total, Energy Outreach received more than $125,000. This is the third time the Hower Family Fund has offered the challenge to benefit Energy Outreach, a nonprofit that raises funds for energy assistance and energy efficiency programs for limited income families and nonprofit facilities across Colorado. In total, their challenge grants have raised about $240,000 for the organization.
