CHICAGO, May 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Celebrating its fourth year on CAN-TV, SAVE THE PATIENT is hosting a special community show to reinforce the importance of positive, proactive and "preventative" interactions between patients and members of the health care team—ranging from physicians to surgeons, nurses to advocates, pharmacists to educators and dentists to hospitals.
On Monday, May 17 at 6:00pm, Chicago Access Network (CAN-TV), Channel 21, will air a live call-in program, "Community Health," in which consumer-friendly health care tips, tools and resources during the year will be reviewed and discussed interactively with television viewers.
Host Lenore Janecek, president and founder of SAVE THE PATIENT, will discuss the importance of being your own health care advocate as a means of protecting yourself and your loved ones from unnecessary medical errors, and how to access health services.
Viewers are encouraged to join in the program, by calling-in their questions.
