Analyst Update: New Products, Record Billings, Strategic Partnership, Acquisition, and Network Expansion

Global equities dipped on Thursday as investor enthusiasm was dampened by a pullback in oil prices related to rising inventories, while the dollar rose as economic data drove expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates. In the U.S., consumer prices fell in the 12 months through January, the first such decline since 2009 as gasoline prices continued to tumble. The S&P 500 ended down 0.15% to 2110.74, Dow was down 0.06% to 18214.42, while Nasdaq was a bright spot in U.S. equities, rising 0.42% to 4987.89 on news of a technology deal. The pan-European Euro Stoxx 600 Index closed up 0.9% higher as investors reacted to a raft of corporate earnings and fresh economic data. The latest GDP data from Spain and UK confirmed a year on year growth of 2% and 2.7%, respectively in the last quarter. The German unemployment rate also stayed at a record low in February. In Asia, Japanese shares outperformed the region by reaching a new multiyear high, but the rest of Asia traded mixed on Thursday.
Juniper Networks, Inc. (Juniper Networks) introduced the new Juniper Networks® ACX500 and ACX5000 routers, thereby expanding its routing portfolio with more Carrier Ethernet offerings. The Company also announced enhancements to the Junos® Space Network Management Platform software. The additions are aimed at building out the Company's mobile IP portfolio, which will help deliver a comprehensive approach in terms of more efficient mobile service creation.
Mavenir Systems, Inc. (Mavenir) reported that it has completed its acquisition of Ulticom, Inc. (Ulticom), enhances its portfolio of next generation software products and solutions to include a scalable, virtualized Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC). This follows the announcement made by Mavenir on January 13, 2015, when the Company entered into an agreement to purchase Ulticom.
Silver Spring Networks, Inc. (Silver Spring) reported that some of the major U.S. investor owned utilities trust Silver Spring for expansion of their networked street lights deployment and build smart city projects. Silver Spring revealed that Florida Power & Light (FPL), which is already working with the Company on North America's largest networked street light project under contract, expanded its program from 75,000 street lights to nearly 500,000 street lights across its 35 county service territory statewide.
Apple, Inc. (Apple) reported that its first week of the year 2015 achieved record billings from the App Store, which witnessed approximately half a billion dollars on apps and in-app purchases. New Year's Day 2015 also marked the single biggest day ever for Apple in terms of App Store sales history.
Concurrent Computer Corporation (Concurrent Computer) reported a collaborative partnership with SeaChange International, Inc. (SeaChange), aimed at winning new multiscreen video business. Under the new association, the Companies will supply software and content delivery network technologies to a leading video service provider in North America.
