Analyst Update: Orders Received, Financial Results, Anniversary Celebrations, and Recognitions

The US markets rattled on Monday and ended the day in red amid an indiscriminate sell-off triggered by a renewed plunge in crude oil prices which plummeted below $50 a barrel. The Dow Jones Industrial Average crushed 1.86%, to finish the day at 17,501.65. NASDAQ Composite edged 1.57% lower to 4,652.57 while S&P 500 suffered its largest one-day decline in three months, closing at 2,020.58, down 1.83%. The European markets also ended on a negative note as concerns over a potential Greek exit of the Eurozone continued to weigh on sentiment. Weakness in the Euro further dented investor confidence as the currency dropped to a 9-year low against the dollar on expectations of fresh European Central Bank stimulus. The Chinese shares however maintained their bullish tone on hopes of fresh measures from the government to kickstart the economy. Overall, the Asian markets finished the day on a mixed note.
The Boeing Company (Boeing) and Kuwait Airways have finalized an order for 10 777-300 Extended Range (ER), valued at $3.3 billion at list prices, the intent for which was announced in November. The 777-300ER is one of the most popular and preferred long-haul aircraft of the world's leading airlines including those from the Middle East.
BorgWarner Inc. (BorgWarner) is supplying its 6.35 mm inverted tooth silent chain for JATCO's CVT7 continuously variable transmission. The CVT7 transmission, which is designed for 0.66- to 1.8-liter minicars and small front-wheel drive vehicles, propels a wide variety of automobiles, including Nissan, Suzuki and Mitsubishi.
CARBO Ceramics Inc.'s (CARBO Ceramics) Q3 2014 revenue stood at $155.4 million, down 22.9% YoY, due to a decline in ceramic proppant sales volumes. For Q3 2014, the Company posted diluted EPS of $0.60 as compared to $1.31 in Q3 2013. For 9M 2014, diluted EPS amounted to $2.39, down by 13.7% YoY.
Caterpillar Inc. (Caterpillar) celebrated 85th anniversary of its listing on the New York Stock Exchange. Also, the Company recently announced the retirement of Vice President Jim Johnson and the appointment of a new Vice President, Raymond Chan, with responsibility for the Asia Pacific Distribution Services Division (APDSD), effective February 1, 2015.
Cementos Pacasmayo S.A.A. (Cementos Pacasmayo) has been awarded an Application Level B Check by the Global Reporting Initiative in its Sustainability Report of 2013, thus, placing itself among the 66 Peruvian companies preparing their reporting under this standard.
