Fazoli's Contest Looking for Creative Ways Kids Eat Spaghetti
LEXINGTON, Ky., Aug. 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Slurp it; twirl it; stuff it. No matter how you eat it, Fazoli's would like to see it. The Italian restaurant chain is seeking videos of kids 12 and under eating spaghetti. And the best techniques will be awarded a catered lunch for the child's classmates, teammates, or other group of friends. It's all part of Fazoli's How Do You 'Getti Your Spaghetti Contest, which runs through the month of September. To enter, parents should visit Fazoli's Facebook page, Facebook.com/Fazolis, for instructions on how to enter their videos for consideration before September 30, 2011.
Eating spaghetti is fun for everyone, especially kids. As a favorite destination for families, Fazoli's wanted to develop a contest to celebrate the joy spaghetti brings to children. The contest coincides with the launch of Fazoli's new television advertising campaign that showcases the happiness spaghetti and other Italian meals bring to families and children.
Cathy Hull, Fazoli's Chief Marketing Officer, believes Fazoli's customers will like the video challenge. "Visit our restaurants and you'll see plenty examples of the creative ways kids eat spaghetti," said Hull. "For parents, it not just that their children like the process of eating spaghetti, but that the food is better for them than fried foods."
During the contest promotional period Fazoli's is offering its own version of another kid favorite, pizza. Pizza Baked Pastas are back for a limited time. The three varieties include Pizza Baked Ravioli, Pizza Baked Spaghetti, and Pizza Baked Ziti. All come topped with pepperoni, provolone and mozzarella cheese that brings the pizza and pasta experience together. All three varieties are just $3.99, and are now available at your local Fazoli's.
An American family favorite for more than 20 years, Fazoli's is a leading, next generation QSR with an all new premium menu featuring freshly prepared Italian entrees, sandwiches and salads. Already America's largest Italian quick service chain, Fazoli's is expanding in select markets throughout the country. Founded in Lexington, Ky. in 1989, Sun Capital Partners acquired Fazoli's in 2006.
